On June 3, 2009 Attorney Alan Edmunds appeared in Washington, DC to represent a client who was seeking a National Security Clearance. The allegations brought by the government included Personal Conduct, Sexual Behavior and Drug Involvement. Attorney Edmunds represented the client, presented current articles and case law to the hearing officers, he also called witnesses. Documents were introduced and the case was taken under submission.

The next day on June 4, 2009 Attorney Edmunds appeared in New York City and represented a client who was seeking a National Security Clearance. The allegations brought by the government included Personal Conduct and Criminal Conduct. Attorney Edmunds aggressively argued this matter before a DOHA Judge and called witnesses, introduced documentary evidence as well as argued the law. During the course of this hearing the government attorney was using documents that he had not shared with the applicant nor his counsel. Attorney Edmunds objected to this tactic and also the use of documents that were not revealed to the applicant.  It is not uncommon during these hearings for technical issues to arise which require specialized knowledge and experience to protect the applicant in this process. The case was taken under submission and a ruling will be forthcoming within 4-8 weeks.
